Autumn Around the Corner

The daylilies are all at rest in their new homes, well all but three of them. The blackberry starts are in the ground; the place for transplanting blueberrys is ready to til and amend the soil; and most important of all the new bed for daylily babies is almost ready for planting the new seeds that I created this year. My FIRST attempt at hybridizing! I am so excited to plant the seed and see if I can actually grow brand new daylilies. I have divided and shared a lot of my older daylilies and plan to get more of them out of the ground and ready to give away. (Got to make room for those new plants.) I have also been making a few cards. Got to get time to upload those. Never enough time in the day to do everything I want to do. Have a good September!

The Daylily Auction

On Saturday I was awake and out the door for the annual daylily auction held by the Tri Cities Daylily Society. What fun. We purchased wonderful new plants for our collection and shared good food, visiting and fun. I, of course, brought home my share of new plants. Thank goodness I had prepared a new bed in advance of the auction. I brought home daylilies:  Primal Scream, Our Sweet Caroline, Paul Sain's Prize, Harmoneous Simplicity, South Sea Enchantment, David Kirchhoff, Skyland Jwels, Oriental Ruby, Lake Normal Sunset, Barbara Mitchell, Don Luis, Wispy Rays, Dragon Eye, Jason Salter, and more.

It's Daylily Auction Time!!!

Since most of my daylilies are getting established and not ready for splitting and sharing, I have prepared to contribute a set of cards in a box... There are birthday cards, Get Well cards, Because I care cards and Thank You cards, a dozen in a box.

I would be pretty happy to bid on these. Still using up old paper, etc, but putting in the new too with my "Because I care card"
Happy Stamping!! and Happy Gardening!!

Still Using Up Supplies and Paper stocks... Will be for a while.

I am using a scanner instead of my camera, so the image is not as good, but I like this card.

Using up the Old - Making Way for the New

This card was done with My Digital Studio (MDS). I actually used my paper punch for the bottom edge and real ribbon for the bow. This is a good way to make quick cards. Printed on my printer, 4 to a page.

I've been buy using up retired designer paper and cardstock. Some of it has been kicking around for years. Here are two cards from what will be a huge collection before I finish.

I've Been Busy

I was no sooner released as Ward Camp Director than I was asked to be on the Stake Board in charge of Crafts for Young Women's Camp. Well I have worked hard and have 120 kits ready to go for journals. I'll get pictures of those. They are going to be great. We are also stamping on tiles and decorating simple wood picture frames with Designer Paper, ribbons and a crafted paper flower. This was a great opportunity to deplete the Retiring Colors, Designer Papers, Ribbons, etc. etc. Next week, June 14th through 18th is camp. We are going to have a great time!

In the midst of this, a friend had surgery and I made a simple get well card and thought I would post it here. It is made using up retiring supplies.

Have a great day.

Just some odds and ends.

Easy easy card. The bird punch, circle punch and scalloped circle punch, layered with chocolate chip and embellished with pearls and hat pin from the pretties collection. Nice card for get well, mother's day, thank you or birthday.

For my sweet primary girls at Valentine Time.

We also made these to include in their Easter Baskets.

Mother's Day Cards

A Mother's Day Card. Housed in its own box it is a treasure.

This is the Box

This is the Card inside.

We used the Big Shot Die Cutter for the background dots, the vanilla notecard, and the daisy die. We layered the different sizes of the daisy and then curled the petals up. The daisies were cut from a variety of designer paper that blended and matched the pretty in pink card and ribbon. The lace was layered under the ribbon. Just ordinary lace. The card is quite lovely as is the box. The box was an afterthought because after the card was made I realized it could not be put into an envelope or the flower would be ruined.

Wedding Invitations

Brian Hubbard and Kim Elkins were married March 20th. We made their beautiful wedding invites using a card design I saw on my Stampin'Up! email group "Udderly Awesome". The cards were gorgeous. The whole family worked on them including Kim's twin girls and her son Dawson. The two smaller children were occupied by my husband during the late nite card sessioin.

Wedding Invitations

I should say stolen design Wedding Invitations. They are finished and as soon as the bride has mailed them, I can post a picture. They are totally beautiful. The bride, groom and children worked on the project. The groom was awesome in his willingness to help make cards.

A friend has asked me to help her with a wedding invitation. I totally borrowed the idea, stole, lifted the idea and will have pictures soon.

Birthday Card for a Man

Always harder to craft cards for men. They don't like all the flowers and frills. Here's one I did.

A little progress

Well the next step. I've improved my headline with a picture of one of my beautiful day lilies. I will be so glad when it is time for them to bloom again. I planted 25 new varieties last year and I can't wait to see them.

When I get this set up and working and I know what I am doing. I will share some raw food recipes and some of my hand crafted cards. Did I say I love "Stampin' Up" and am a Demonstrator. I am able and willing to conduct classes if you want to learn to make cards, paper crafts and do a little scrap booking.

Finally, set up a Blog and given it a name. More work ahead!
